515 Photo Co. is Celebrating Love, Inclusivity, and Pride with Shane and Grant’s Wedding at Toronto’s Broadview Hotel

Planning a wedding is an exciting (and sometimes stressful) journey filled with decisions that reflect the couple's unique style and love story. As Toronto wedding photographers, we have the privilege of capturing countless unique moments for couples across the city/world. Today, we get to share the incredible love story of Shane and Grant, a couple whose wedding day was a true celebration of love, inclusivity, and pride.

Shane and Grant are kings of attention to detail - we think they may have invented the term. These two gentlemen carefully selected navy blue, charcoal gray, and white as their wedding theme and colors. These choices were not arbitrary; Navy blue highlighted Grant's mesmerizing blue eyes, while the charcoal gray complemented the concrete floors and pillars at their ceremony venue (which also happens to be their living room…how romantic, right? We’re still not over it!). The addition of white brought a clean and classic touch, tying the entire color scheme together beautifully. The thoughtfulness behind their choices created a visually stunning atmosphere for their wedding day that we can’t get enough of.

Top Moments:

The wedding day was filled with extraordinary moments, but these three stand out as particularly significant and memorable.

A Breathtaking Rendition of "You Say":

  1. The beautiful couple’s talented friend and wedding singer, Torey, set the perfect ambience by performing a one-of-a-kind rendition of Lauren Daigle's "You Say" during the processional. Torey's voice filled the loft, moving everyone to tears and creating an unforgettable atmosphere of love and emotion.

Ben, the Lovable Ring Bearer:

  1. Shane and Grant’s Labrador Retriever, Ben, took on the role of the ring bearer. I know, right? Can you imagine anything cuter? As he made his way down the aisle, Ben couldn't resist greeting their guests row by row, spreading smiles and laughter throughout the venue. This heartwarming and light-hearted moment provided a delightful break from the emotional intensity of the vows.

The wedding reception was not only a celebration of love but also an opportunity for Shane and Grant to raise awareness about important issues within the LGBTQ+ community. They had the pleasure of having the vibrant and fabulous MC, Van Goth, who kept the energy high and spread a message of acceptance and love throughout the evening. In addition, they shared their personal stories and highlighted their support for PFlag Canada, an organization close to their hearts. The evening was capped off with a raucous performance by Toronto’s legendary drag queen, Miss Moço, who reminded everyone of the beauty and diversity within the LGBTQ+ community. What is better than a drag queen at a wedding reception?!

Shane and Grant’s wedding day was a true testament to their love, inclusivity, and commitment to making a difference. From the thoughtfully chosen color scheme to the unforgettable moments that touched the hearts of everyone present, to one Toronto’s favorite drag queens lip-syncing the night away, their celebration was a beautiful representation of their journey together, and we were so thankful to be there to capture it.
